The attack came after unsubstantiated reports of violence at a Gaza aid distribution center were published.
Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Kash Patel responded to the attack in Boulder, Colorado, on a peaceful rally calling for the release of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza. An Egyptian national who was in the U.S. illegally has been arrested for using a makeshift flamethrower to attack the participants of the event. The suspect yelled, “This will end when Palestine is free,” as he launched the attack. At least eight people were hospitalized with burn injuries.
Director Patel stated, “We are aware of and fully investigating a targeted terror attack in Boulder, Colorado. Our agents and local law enforcement are on the scene already, and we will share updates as more information becomes available.“
Secretary of State Marco Rubio also responded, “We’re united in prayer for the victims of a targeted terror attack this afternoon in Boulder. Terror has no place in our great country.“
The attack in Colorado came after Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) refuted claims by the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry that 31 Palestinians died and others were injured in an attack at an aid distribution center Sunday morning.
“There was no gunfire in the center and also not in the surrounding area,” the GHF stated Sunday. “All aid was distributed today without incident. We have heard that these fake reports have been actively fomented by Hamas. They are untrue and fabricated.”
“The IDF is cooperating with the GHF and international aid organizations in order to enable the distribution of aid to Gazan residents — and not to Hamas,” the Israeli military stated. “The IDF calls on the media to be cautious with information published by the Hamas terrorist organization, as proven in many previous incidents.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Director Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi as they work to investigate and prosecute antisemitic terrorism.
- For U.S. law enforcement and agents who are working to prevent attacks against Jews and others who are pro-Israel.
- For media outlets to authenticate information before publishing reports of violence in Gaza and elsewhere.
